It's a happy sad thing

I GOT MY LAPTOP BACK!!! And there is NOTHING missing :] I didn't lose anything and that makes me the happiest girl! :] Not only that, I got a letter from my Elder on Tuesday and it had 2 inside. One for right then and another to open on my birthday! :] Can't wait!

Now for the "sad" part of the title... I had TWO different roommates on TWO different days say waiter-hater comments. The first one: We were arguing over dating while you have a missionary. She said that if I were to go on a date with a guy while I have a missionary out that I would be wasting his time and money. SERIOUSLY?! Ok, ya I love my mish. I WANT to marry him. Does that mean that I KNOW and ABSOLUTELY going to? NO! No one on EARTH knows that! I want to go on dates and get to know other guys to see if my mish is the one for me. I can't do that if I don't go on dates.

The second one: She compared waiting for a missionary to HAVING SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE! There is NO WAY that those two things are RELATED!! In ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM! She said that all she knows is that we have been told not to do either one so she sees no difference between them. But, she is WRONG! We may have been CAUTIONED to not date seriously before a mission but General Authorities have just said if you are going to wait, do it the right way. For proof, here is a link:

6 Months!

6 MONTHS! 1/4! 25%! However you say it, it is 6 months down TODAY! That's right. My love only has 18 months left. I am so proud of him! He is becoming an AMAZING young man and he LOVES the work he is doing.

I also have to say I am proud of myself. There are probably people who didn't think I would make it this far. Well guess what? I DID! And amazingly it wasn't that hard. Ya, there were hard days, but those 6 months FLEW by! But, I have had help. Besides having the BEST roommates like EVER, I have also become friends with some AMAZING MG's. Seriously. I wouldn't give up this experience for anything because I have met some girls that I just know I will be friends with for a long time and I wouldn't have met them any other way.

Also, I would like to thank all you waiter haters. If it weren't for you, us MG's wouldn't stick together as much as we do because we wouldn't have as many problems. So, take that. You want to discourage us, but all you are doing is bringing us together :p

I will upload my "6 month" picture when I actually take it :] Maybe tomorrow ha.

So do you know what I have to say about the next 18 months?

BRING. IT. ON!

Four down... 20 to go!

It's been four months!! This post is kinda late  because his month mark was on Sunday, but better late than never right? Haha I cannot believe how fast time is flying. When people ask me how long he has been gone and I say four month, they are like "Oh, so not that long ago." But in my mind I am like, "Whoa! He has already been gone FOUR MONTHS??!?! It seems like he just left!" Which is a good thing :] My mom just sent off my Christmas package for him like a week ago as well. (My mom did it because I didn't have time) I hope he likes it.... I put in two ties, a leather planner cover, and a bag of miniature reeses.

I got a letter on Monday, it had been like 3 weeks since my last one. He wrote it on Halloween!! Which means it took like almost a month to get to me. WHY CANADA POSTAL SERVICE WHY?!?! Anyways, in the beginning of the letter he told me that he was sorry that he hadn't kept his promise in a while of writing me every week, so he has a surprise for me and to be prepared. I don't know whether to be excited or scared!! I have no idea what it could be because that is all he said about it! Suspense much?! It was only two pages (the shortest yet) but I loved EVERY WORD. :]

This past week was crazy. We had this guy named Vincent Brosseau come choreograph for us. Now, this was not your regular dance. We had 7 foot poles that weigh 10 pounds each... and we kinda pole-vault-dance with them. It is called Rippling Souls. Here is the video if you want to see. This is not my group but this is like exactly what we do. The part where they jump up and hold themselves there for like 10-15 seconds, ya I do that part.

Today is Thanksgiving, and I am gonna get to see my Grandma and Grandpa on my dad's side and my Grandma on my mom's side. (My mom's parents are divorced and we never see my Grandpa. It's been like 6 or 7 years) I am so grateful for my family and everything they do. I would not be the person today if it was not for my family and friends. I am thankful that my missionary has come into my life and am proud that he made the decision to serve a mission. I am thankful that I have him as a best friend and that someday, I will marry him. I am grateful that I have the talents that I do and can share them with others. I am thankful that the Lord has blessed me with such awesome roommates this year who are helping me get through the next 2 years and will be my friends for life. Sometimes I complain, but honestly I love my life and wouldn't trade it for anything.

It's Me Again

I have decided that I am going to try and post more often! It helps me vent a bit and get things off of my mind (usually I would tell my boy but he is not here so I guess a blog will do).

Today has been a crazy but pretty good day. It snowed!! I am not a fan of snow :/ sorry for those of you who are. But it is wet, cold, and if it snows it means that it is to cold to rain! STUPID!

Well, me and my roommate jess have been EXTREMELY hyper tonight! Holy crap ha. We have been laughing non stop and even drew my mish a picture on paint ;] One of my other roommates was doing one of those "relaxing" music thingys. You know the ones that say "nothing matters. Just relax.... Now you are in a field.." blah blah blah. (ya know, the ones that don't really work) Anyways, me and jess go into the living room and 3 of my roommates just start getting mad because we are being to loud. SERIOUSLY?! Do you know how many times in the morning while I was SLEEPING you guys were SCREAMING YOUR HEADS OFF?! Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. If you want me to be quiet while you are "relaxing", you better freakin be quiet when I am. UGH! It frustrates me. If my boy were here, he would know exactly what to say to me. He always had this way about him that he knew the perfect thing that would make me feel better... The next 21 months better go by FAST.

On a good note, I got my temple recommend so that I can do baptisms on Thursday. SUPER EXCITED! :]

Talking by the Spirit

In conference this past weekend, there was a talk that someone gave (forgive me I can't remember who and am to lazy to find my notes) that said that we need to talk BY the Spirit. Well, I believe that I have had that experience lately.

After FHE tonight, there was a guy that stayed and started asking my roommate questions. I was listening in and he was asking some deep questions. My roommate was kinda stumped... So I kinda felt inspired to cut in. He stayed and talked with me for like an hour or so. One of the things he said was that he became inactive because some of the LDS members are to judgmental and pushy. Now, he is now the first person to tell me this. My brother has said it and my roommate (not the same one he was talking with) have both told me. I would like to share with all of you what I have told them:

You should not be a member of the church because you like the people who are there. Yes, it is a bonus if you do but they shouldn't be the reason you are going and they DEFINITELY shouldn't keep you from going. Also, you do not know anyone else's circumstances. They could be going through hard trials, or maybe they themselves need to work on the things they are accusing you of so they see it in other people more prominently. Whatever the case may be, the gospel is still true. It never changes. The lessons you learn and the feelings you get won't change because a certain person was there. If you do not like to be judge by people, don't listen. And do not judge them because no one is perfect. Yes, there will be sometimes when someone is teaching a lesson and it seems like they should be listening instead of teaching. But, maybe that is why they are teaching. All of the time I hear teachers say that they get more out of the lesson than their students do or they say that the lesson was made for them because they are personally struggling with that certain thing.

I guess what I am trying to say is that the gospel is true, no matter where and no matter who. If you love the church and know it is true, nothing should keep you from your eternal happiness.

So much to say!

Ok so it has been FOREVER since I have posted but I have just been so busy!! :] Classes and everything are just wiping me out!

Tonight was so much fun! The school I go to had a foam dance. That's right. Dancing in bubbly, wet foam. It was INSANE! Me and Krys were rolling around in the bubbles and then going around to people who were dry and unbubblefied and gave them hugs then booked it away! :]

On Monday night, there was a "meet your bishop mingle majiggy thingy" and after there was a stomp. It was fun! There was only one guy that asked me to dance and it was the very last dance. Oh ya, we were the only two dancing as well! It was one of those "everyone is leaving so we are going to play this song" kinda songs. And he said it was his favorite so he asked me to dance. I met him last year on dance ensemble. He's really cool, except that he was dancing like REALLY CLOSE! Ha. It was kinda awkward so I just started laughing a lot :]

Sunday was an interesting day. Our bishop was gone so his second counselor took over. Me and Jess call him "Brother Rhino" or "Brother Unicorn" (Not to his face of course). Now you are probably wondering why. So he is an older guy ok and he is balding a bit. But, he has like this little island on his head. Ya he has this small clump of hair on the front of his head that he combs forward and then he has the like ring around the back. So he has a like horn kinda thing. We were laughing about it through like all of sacrament meeting! It was great :]

It has been THREE FREAKING WEEKS since I have gotten a letter from James. I WANT A LETTER! Ugh. Ya. It's hard.

Well, I think that's it. Oh ya, Bobert says hi to whoever reads this. I don't know why, but he said I had to put it. So there ya go.

The Red Carpet

Last night was SUCH A FUN NIGHT! We just invited some random people over and played Swedish Twister! For those of you who don't know what that is, look it up because it's kinda hard to explain. Anyways, all of us girls in the apartment were like really hyper and our couch cushions are like extremely hard. So, we took them off the couches (which is surprisingly more comfortable) and made a "Red Carpet" in our front entry way. It was awesome!

That's one of my roommates Krys. She is really funny and she was just being SO adorable! We had to take pictures. Ha

So the day I moved in I kinda, sorta, might have tripped over our dog fence in our hallway and took the whole thing out and got a MASSIVE floor burn on my arm. It hurt. So I took a pic for my missionary showing him what I did.

I wish we would have taken pictures of the like 20 people playing Swedish Twister but fail! We didn't. So if we play again I will remember and put them up. But for now, enjoy some pics of roommates and other stuff.

Last thing. So today was a bad day. It was one of those days where I just missed my missionary so darn much! I really just wanted him here :/ But I still have like 695 says left so... ya. I called my mom (after I found out that I still don't have a letter from my Elder and it has been two weeks) and talked to her about it. It made me feel a bit better but then when we hung up, I cried for like a half an hour. Then went inside my apartment to my bedroom, laid on my bed and cried some more. Then I slept for two hours and felt a lot better :] I hope I don't have these days very often. They are NOT fun. But! Me and ri ri and C bear came up with 134 reasons why I love my missionary and will wait for him. I am going to do 365 for his year mark. SO EXCITED!

School starts tomorrow. Excited yet not. We'll see what happens.

Roomy Bonding :]

Today was an interesting day. Started off kinda bad but then got better :] Church started at ten and 4 of my roommates left about 20 minutes early. Did they tell me and ri ri when they were leaving or even ask if we wanted to come with them? That would be a NO. But! When we got home from church it was better.

We had roommate bonding time today :] First at lunch where we all sat down at the table while we ate and just talked and asked questions like about families and favorite colors and stuff. It was fun. Then we played this card game called "Idiot"! Such a fun game! The last time we played, I won :] I was pretty proud of myself ha :] Well, then two of the roomies left to basically have a date with these guys. Well, the rest of us made dinner together (chicken alfredo) and then ate together at the table. Then, talked a bit and ended up watching "Mrs. Doubtfire"! Such a fun day with a lot of laughs and some great bonding. Like me and Jess obsessing because a cop was outside the AC for like ever and then this guy on a four wheeler came up and they talked for like 2 hours! It was insane :]

Tomorrow is roomy picture day :] I'll post when I get some :]
